SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT POLICE
The San Francisco Airport Police Office is responsible for the safety and security of travelers and employees at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). It works in collaboration with several other law enforcement agencies to provide a full range of basic police services, including traveler assistance, local, state and federal law enforcement, and emergency management. The office, established in 1997, works closely with the San Francisco International Airport Authority, the San Mateo Sheriff's Office, the Transportation Security Administration, the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Secret Service, the U.S. Federal Air Marshals and other regional, local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. The airport office provides foot, bike, car and motorcycle patrols, as well as traffic control, dignitary security and vehicle collision investigation services.
