Sanctuary dedicated to Tin How with a beautiful balcony overlooking the city of San Francisco.

Founded in 1852 by sailors who wanted to give thanks for having arrived alive in San Francisco, this shrine is dedicated to Tin How, the goddess of the sky and protector of travelers at sea. The interior is lined with red and gold decorations hanging from the ceiling, and a beautiful balcony overlooks the city. Old Chinese women prepare offerings and burn incense to the sound of Chinese drums. You are welcome, but please be discreet. Take a numbered vow from the entrance or a stick of incense to burn as an offering.
