KONKO CHURCH
Temple in the middle of the Japanese district of the city of San Francisco considered as a beautiful and quiet place for meditation
In the middle of the city's Japanese district is this 1960s temple of the Shinto religion. Here you will see old photographs of the Konko congregation that emigrated from Japan to the United States over seventy years ago. The temple itself is a masterpiece of simplicity. The glass walls look like rice paper. At the heart, golden Japanese characters evoke a metaphor for the light that emanates from a spiritual heart. Warm welcome open to all questions. A beautiful and quiet place for meditation.
