CATHEDRAL OF SAINT MARY OF ASSUMPTION
Concrete cathedral with a ribbed vault 58 m high, with large windows with a spectacular view of the city
This concrete cathedral built in 1972 has become a San Francisco landmark. The strange shape, straight out of a science fiction movie, is the result of a geometric design that creates a graceful curved structure and a ribbed vault that is 58 meters high. Large windows offer a spectacular view of the city. Very good acoustics for classical music and organ concerts. Theatrical and terrifying, it attracts thousands of visitors every year.
