Social club with a tower with a staircase and a mural of the popular gold mines and oil drillings.
Inside this rather posh social club, the mural The Allegory of California is the first painted by the Mexican artist Diego Riviera in San Francisco, during the stay he made in the Bay Area with his wife Frida Kahlo in 1930-1931. This mural painted in the staircase of the tower of what was then thestock exchange illustrates the various Californian industries of the time, including the popular gold mines and oil drilling.
