Jimi Hendrix's private residence in San Francisco with an exterior mural in his honor
Jimi Hendrix lived in an apartment in this brick house for a while in the 1960s. Following his death, it was repainted in red and nicknamed the Red House. An exterior mural, now preserved, was also painted in his honor. You can't miss it. It is now a private residence, so unfortunately you can't visit it. We are at the central crossroads of the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, at the epicenter of hippie geography. No wonder the superstar lived here!
