EXPLORATORIUM
U.S. Ecological Museum, organizes numerous and varied activities as well as nightly sessions every week
The huge Exploratorium, like the City of Science made in San Francisco, welcomes you at Piers 15 and 17. It's a flagship museum that families love to visit. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, it was originally founded by physicist Frank Oppenheimer in 1969. Covering more than 30,000m2, the space is home to 600 indoor and outdoor exhibition areas. The area around Pier 17 serves as a promenade and will be used for future extensions. This is one of the most environmentally-friendly museums in the United States, equipped with solar panels and water recovery systems for the sanitary facilities. Throughout the discovery rooms, the teams of artists and engineers who have created the experiences seek above all to stimulate your curiosity by awakening your five senses. Whether it's sound, visuals, botanical or sensory experiments, trompe-l'oeil or skill testing, the attractions are many and varied. Play, dance with your shadow, levitate, break the light, stop time... Here, anything is possible. You'll need half a day to get the most out of this interactive discovery center. Some thirty researchers work here. Biologists can be seen live behind glass. Night sessions are organized every week on Thursday evenings, but only for those over 18. Visit the website to find out about the temporary exhibitions, which are always impressive.

C'est un endroit idéal pour toute la famille, très ludique. On fait des expériences, on joue, on teste, on réfléchit...On apprend sans s'en rendre compte. A faire !
