The Fat Lady is a wonderful restaurant. Our service was INCREDIBLE Shane was GREAT, FUN, amazing great person!! It was very busy but the hostess Emma ????found us a table very quickly. The food was delicious ???? WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN!! Best advice make a reservation

One of the coolest looking bars I’ve ever been to. Didn’t spend too much time there as I had a show to catch, but I’m already planning my next visit.

The beet risotto at The Fat Lady in Oakland is a game changer! It’s creamy, with that earthy beet kick, and the Parmesan on top? Chef's kiss! It’s like they put all the good stuff in one dish. Seriously, if you’re in Oakland, you gotta try it. Even for take out it's still Five stars for making something so good. Oh location is good too, right around the corner from Jack London Square.

Always a great meal. Cozy, old style NY Italian atmosphere.

Fun spot!

My partner and I are in town for a funeral and we had to kill a little time between our vrbo check out time and our flight home, so my partner found a place for us to get some food and a drink or six. ????

Luckily for us, they found The Fat Lady and it was SUCH a wonderful experience!

Our server, Elizabeth, was so incredibly delightful and helpful. She made great recommendations and didn’t hesitate to tell us that she wouldn’t mind if we had to camp out for a couple hours, or more, despite our profuse apologies. And that’s not to mention that she was incredibly fun/funny, and dare I say she was a bit cheeky (????) but in a safe and super respectful way. Not only that, she made our dining experience even better than it otherwise would have been - coming and going with the flow you just instantly know is a true mark of high intelligence and skill in the profession.

Now, the food. Gawd. The food was so tasty.

I very much enjoyed the oysters, that came with lemons, real horseradish, and garlic butter. And I had the Atlantic salmon fillet as my main. My partner had the French onion soup and a baked potato that they found to be delicious on a cloudy/drizzly Bay Area day. As for the drinks… We very much enjoyed the Bees Knees and Cupid’s Arrow cocktail, as we did a spicy mezcal cocktail that Elizabeth suggested for us.

By the way, the ambience and atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. It’s almost like being in your kooky rich aunt’s mansion, it’s incredibly ornate and beautiful inside, with art and curtains and lamps. I was in a seat where I could see a stained glass window featuring a rose pattern, making it that much more special.

Needless to say, after our time at The Fat Lady, we’re both adequately prepared and smiling before our flight home after a handful of difficult days. Thanks for your hospitality and patience with us, Elizabeth & Staff. Hope to see you again, someday soon. ????????????

Had a Guinness and apps at the bar on St Patricks Day, excellent! Great bar with traditional old world deco. Friendly happy staff, I'll b back.

This place is such a vibe - Oakland vibe!

Beautiful restaurant staff were friendly but not super attentive. Didn’t even offer me water. Huge menu and wine selection . Excellent vibe great art

Drinks and lunch with good friend in Jack London Square area of Oakland. Salad and wine. Excellent service in setting with comfortable chair and carved dark wood. Highly recommend Fat Lady for lunch and drinks.

Well this is round two of reviewing since Google is not cooperating..but I feel this place is worth it. My husband found this when I was on a travel nurse assignment in Northern California. It was superb. We will definitely come back. It is a must visit place if you are in the area!

My burger was quite good, but my wife's risotto was just okay. My boulevardier was pretty tasty.

Overall, the prices seemed a tad high.

Very good food prime rib and creme Brule desert was great.. good date night place.

Never went into the fat lady this bar we was in the area

VERY, VERY, disappointed in the pasta, I ordered it with cream sauce and there was no cream, its was more like butter. I asked our wonderful waitress and she said many people complain about it and they don't fixs that.

I have no idea what the Sunday brunch is like, nor the food, or service.... Because when I called to make a reservation for 8, they wanted a $100 deposit! $25 I could see, but $100? No thanks. Hard pass.

Very great place to eat. Just Uber to go there.... My wife and I got our car broken into while parking on the corner of 3rd and Washington...
