All of Oakland is flocking to this Peruvian-inspired restaurant to enjoy delicious tacos. A bit of a wait to be expected.

The whole of Oakland flocks to this Peruvian-inspired restaurant to enjoy delicious tacos. So you'll often have to be patient before you can settle in. Once seated, we recommend ordering the crispy fried fish with red sauce, coleslaw and light creme fraiche. Or the braised pork with chipotle-tomatillo sauce and onions. For the anecdote, Cholita Linda refers to the Peruvian mother of the owner. This affectionate term refers to a native girl, pretty and sweet.

Baja Tacos, Carnitas Tacos and Cubano sandwich. Mouth watering, delicious and unforgettable. These words describe all the dishes from Cholita Linda but today, the 3 at the beginning are the ones we had today. I only wish we lived closer to their restaurants.

It was great to see you today Murat. Till next time.

The food is still decent. The portions for the dinner platter (pollo) have become WAY too small. I can live with the chicken portions but shorting the rice and beans? That’s what I get for getting Mexican food in Temescal, I guess.
