Buildings in a historic neighborhood in Oakland with charming little stores on 9th Street.
This historic district is a succession of Victorian houses, formerly charming hotels that welcomed passengers off trains arriving at the nearby 7th Street terminus. It's also the neighborhood of old brick warehouses, now transformed into restaurants, bistros, art galleries, concept stores and trendy bars. It's great in the evenings when the weather's nice, and on Friday mornings for fresh produce at theFarmer's Market. Charming little boutiques line 9th Street.
