Chabot Space & Science Center is a non-profit institution located in Oakland's Redwood Regional Park, in the midst of the East Bay's largest coastal redwood forest. The center features a 241-seat full-dome planetarium, interactive and hands-on exhibits, space artifacts, a giant-screen movie theater and the largest research observatory complex, including three large-scale telescopes, regularly open to the public.
