Ordered off the a la cart menu. Two spare rib bones, quarter pound of brisket (lean), one Louisiana hot sausage link, and one pint of Southern greens.
The meats were seasoned perfectly and had a light wood smoke flavor. All four BBQ sauces were really good. Unfortunately, the spare ribs and brisket were cooked too fast, which left the meat a bit tough and the fat hadn't rendered enough. The brisket was on the dry side. Another indication of fast cooking. The Louisiana hot sausage link was a little spicy, but not "hot" to me. I believe the Southern greens were kale because they were a brighter shade of green than I'm familiar with. You can see them in the pic. The Southern greens had meat in them, but the overall taste was new to me. I finished the pint of Southern greens by myself if that is any indication of how they tasted. I also ordered sweet tea and a craft beer.
The staff was very friendly. Old school Blues music was playing on the speakers.
My bill came to $49 with tax, before tip.

Rib tips were tough. Everything came sauced which is suspect in itself. Let me decide if it needs sauce.
I stop here every time I am in the US/Bay Area.
Impeccable good, love it.
The young woman who helped me order was nice, though I was disappointed that they didn't have any baked potatoes. Online info led me to believe they had them, but apparently only "Mondays before 2:00" (that would have been good information to have online, just saying). I ordered a brisket sandwich and I have to say the meat was delicious and plentiful. Far, far better than my last trip to Armadillo Willy's. They let you choose "lean, fatty or mixed;" I ordered mixed and it was indeed a mix. But the way it's slapped onto the really tasty bun made it hard to handle and awkward. Put on some BBQ sauce and it turns into a dripping mess. And the fries were not good. They have that potato-starch coating on them and no flavor (even though there appeared to be pepper on them, which I didn't appreciate.) I barely ate any of mine, so they were a disappointment. Considering the cost, the side should be a compliment and not a detraction. I plan to go back to try to score a baked potato, but not to this location. I'll go to one of the newer ones that isn't as sad.
