A modest drive-in, with outdoor tables, serving the region's best falafels for a low price. For a change from burgers, this original fast-food restaurant offers a whole range of delicious falafel sandwiches, mezzés, gyros and keftas. You only have to look at the crowds at mealtimes to realize just how popular it is. And don't forget to try the excellent banana milkshakes! A practical, hearty break on the road to Silicon, with a picnic lunch in a local park.

A classic since 1966.

In the heart of San Jose, amidst the hustle and bustle, lies Falafel's Drive In—a haven of flavors and nostalgia. Amidst the lunch rush, I found myself drawn to its retro charm, reminiscent of a bygone era. The fries, crispy and golden, were a delightful prelude to the main act: the vegan-friendly pita falafel sandwich. Laden with a unique spicy sauce, it danced on my palate, a symphony of sweetness and heat.

As I waited amidst the crowded atmosphere, the anticipation only heightened the experience. The pita, when it finally arrived, proved to be a satiating delight, fulfilling both hunger and nostalgia in equal measure. Despite the hustle, the ambiance inside was surprisingly pleasant, a testament to the establishment's enduring charm.

Though the outdoor patio was abuzz with patrons, I found solace within the cozy confines of the interior—a convenient respite for weary travelers staying at the nearby hotel. In the midst of the chaos, Falafel's Drive In stood as a unique beacon of tradition and taste—a culinary adventure worth savoring.

Great falafel takeout! The fries on a rainy day is awesome! Great Veggie falafel sandwich.
