Sarah Winchester, heiress of the famous gun manufacturer, embarks on a surreal real estate project in 1884. A psychic persuaded her that she would be the victim of a curse if she did not appease the spirits of the victims of these weapons by building them a house without ever stopping. For 38 years, the workers expanded the villa, without a pre-established plan. At the end of the work, in 1922, it was a 7-story Victorian palace, obsessively luxurious and unbelievable for its time, with 2,000 doors sometimes opening onto empty space...
