This rather chic restaurant with a sober decoration serves, in addition to some meats, seafood caught in a sustainable way. We recommend the fried octopus salad served with a lightly spiced vinaigrette and the coho salmon with French lentils, buttered cabbage and burnt onions. The duck confit reduced in honey isn't bad either, with its smoked chili potato cake and grilled broccolinis. On the wine side, the 2019 Chalone Chardonnay, Monterey's oldest vineyard, is very good.

Expect a delay in service when it's busy. Food was amazing though, and well worth it

Everything was ok at best with the exception of the biscuit which was surprisingly great. Didn’t come here for a biscuit though ????

The food was delicious and service was excellent. Had the Scallop appetizer and rainbow trout as the entree along with the maple banana bread for the desert. All 3 dishes were flavourful and whoever was making them had a definite passion for making food. Our server (can’t remember the name but she was from Switzerland) was polite, professional and very knowledgeable about the menu as I had a few questions about my dishes (because it was so good!). Reservations are recommended as this place was pretty busy for a Monday night.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here in Oct 2023 during our honeymoon. We spent 25 days in the States and this was by far our best meal. The menu and the plates were exquisite, it was clear that there's someone who loves food and experimenting with it behind them! Above everything we loved the dessert, the Roquefort Icecream - oh - my - God! That was so unexpected and wonderfully balanced! Another totally unexpected thing that we found was the wine list - we're from Italy and I have to say it's hard for me to think about a restaurant where I saw such a complete and well-designed wine list. We also had the pleasure to taste a 2020 Gewurztraminer grown in Monterey County - so strange for Italians, where Gewurztraminer is usually much younger and grows in northern regions, far away from the sea. Last but not least, amazing service: the host was amazing and treated us incredibly. 10/10 you should stop if you're in around Monterey!
