Worst Service Ever!!!

Wife & I called Passionfish Restaurant on Sunday, April 7th 2024, around 10 minutes util 9pm to confirm that they were open and receptive to late arriving guests. The Restaurant was closing at 9pm. We were enthusiastically told to come on down. We were guests at the The Lodge at Pebble Beach Resorts, just a few minutes away.

We received a warm greeting and seated promptly. We extremely excited and looking forward to and exceptional dining experience. Instead, we were approached by an Abrupt, Disinterested, Dismissive and Rude Female Server. Everything about her demeanor projected that she had no interest or enthusiasm for serving us (her last table of the day). First thing I did was inquire about wines by the bottle. She simply Ignored My Questions and inquired about our food courses. We were a little taken aback by her deliberate disregard for our beverage request. After we gave her our order, I inquired again about ordering from the wines by the bottle list. To our astonishment, our Female Server abruptly stated, "I Don't Feel Comfortable Serving You Alcohol". She offered no explanation and quickly walked away from our table. We Were In Complete Shock!!! Needless to say, we felt unnecessarily Insulted and discriminated against by this Female Server's Behavior. We felt uncomfortable with the entire incident and left immediately, canceling our order on the way out. Who could eat after that?

As an interracial couple, my wife is African American and I am Caucasian, we have experienced numerous incidences of racist and disparate treatment in restaurants all over the world, but this Female Server in a Prestigious Northern California Restaurant completely caught us off guard. We were Disgusted with how we were treated at Passionfish.

I am speaking with our attorney regarding legal action that should be taken against the Business Owners of Passionfish. Behavior like this should not be tolerated or encouraged in 2024!!!

God Bless!

I had a high expectation before going to the restaurant. Overall for the price, it’s not bad to have only one scallop for the appetizer. I appreciate the sauce of HALIBUT. It’s fantastic! We also ordered the duck confit is 7/10.

Everything was great. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and the prices were very reasonable. I will go back again next time I'm in town!

Food was pretty good, but the service was amazing!

Always delicious, always fresh. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and explained things in beautiful word pictures that truly helped guide our ordering choices. PLEASE - Do yourself a favor...get a $3 biscuit for yourself. You could share it, but you will be a little sad you did afterward. Life changing.

Scallops (both as an appetizer and main dish) were fantastic! Cooked to perfection and beautifully sauced and seasoned, all the sides were delicious as well. The Duck was on the dry side, but still a great dish.

A great restaurant for group dinners with several semi-private areas. I've been there multiple times with the same group over many years. The server made suggestions and was happy to customize
Menu items.

Spent our 40th anniversary here and missed the mark. My halibut was a shade overcooked, and my wife’s wild rice was almost in edible. They knew this was special day yet our table was less than accommodating.

Great service and food in a very pleasant atmosphere. Kudos to Passionfish for holding the line on wine prices which in most equivalent restaurants have gotten out of hand. Thank you. Not our first time there and we will be back.

Expect a delay in service when it's busy. Food was amazing though, and well worth it

Everything was ok at best with the exception of the biscuit which was surprisingly great. Didn’t come here for a biscuit though ????

The food was delicious and service was excellent. Had the Scallop appetizer and rainbow trout as the entree along with the maple banana bread for the desert. All 3 dishes were flavourful and whoever was making them had a definite passion for making food. Our server (can’t remember the name but she was from Switzerland) was polite, professional and very knowledgeable about the menu as I had a few questions about my dishes (because it was so good!). Reservations are recommended as this place was pretty busy for a Monday night.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining here in Oct 2023 during our honeymoon. We spent 25 days in the States and this was by far our best meal. The menu and the plates were exquisite, it was clear that there's someone who loves food and experimenting with it behind them! Above everything we loved the dessert, the Roquefort Icecream - oh - my - God! That was so unexpected and wonderfully balanced! Another totally unexpected thing that we found was the wine list - we're from Italy and I have to say it's hard for me to think about a restaurant where I saw such a complete and well-designed wine list. We also had the pleasure to taste a 2020 Gewurztraminer grown in Monterey County - so strange for Italians, where Gewurztraminer is usually much younger and grows in northern regions, far away from the sea. Last but not least, amazing service: the host was amazing and treated us incredibly. 10/10 you should stop if you're in around Monterey!

What a great dinner ... food was excellent, and the service was even better. Highly recommend!

It was ok. Fish soup was just that, chunks of fish in tomato broth, Bench seats were uncomfortable. My duck was really good though. My wife's halibut was over cooked.

One of my very favorite restaurants anywhere, with fresh sustainable seafood and tasty appealing presentation. Kudos for their affordable approach to the wine list as well.

The best service I’ve had in years. Highly recommend this restaurant. Perfect portion size and truly—the service is impeccable, They even have a beer from Germany on the menu from Munich that I’ve never seen on any menu. Will definitely be going back,
