Conveniently located in the heart of Sonoma, this lovely restaurant is the perfect culinary destination for a romantic dinner or a get-together with friends. You'll have a few delicious dishes to choose from: fresh, simple yet sophisticated cuisine, and an extensive wine list. The multi-level reception room contains a dozen tables. The atmosphere is intimate, with its open kitchen, herringbone roof, and large works of art hanging on the wall. The energy is vibrant and contagious. Remember to reserve your table!

Another great evening at Cafe La Haye; this time for my daughter's birthday. It is so nice to see the familiar faces of the staff and folks that seem to be locals.
All of the specials sounded tempting, as did the menu items. I had the ahi tuna tartare , youngsters (30+!) Had fried cauliflower, husband had chicory salad with persimmons, almond, feta; a good choice! We always try the risotto of the day, which was broccolini and lemon EVOO today. For a minute I thought we would ALL order that, but I went for the pork chops with gnocchi (again), son had spiced chicken and husband had petrale sole.
Of course we had the warm almond cake with salted caramel ice cream. (Husband likes his on the side ????), but one of us had and enjoyed the cheesecake.

Shared a very nice meal at this small bustling gem. The space was cozy and the artwork and the food all went together nicely. Soup and special salad of the day were followed by the pork chop and pasta dishes which were all delicious and beautifully presented. Chocolate silk cake was a perfect finish.

It’s rare these days when the owner of a restaurant greets you at the door and comes by your table to ask if everything was ok and thanks you when you leave. That’s what you get at Cafe La Haye! Great food (loved the carpaccio with oyster on top!), ambiance, and service in Sonoma. I can see why locals love Cafe La Haye! We’ll be back!

Cozy ambiance and exceptional dishes. Watching the activity in the kitchen added to the experience!
Still as excellent as it was a year ago. Food, service, and wine were all top notch.
We were lucky enough to have Ester as our server again. She has such enthusiasm about the menu. Her descriptions of the extensive specials were detailed and spot on. I have no idea how she remembers such fine details of an ever changing menu. A true professional!
We started with the chop salad as a starter, which I could have every day and not get tired of. I returned to the pork chop for my main, which was a generous cut. My partner had the chicken special, which was beyond generous in size and very tasty.
We cheated again this time and had dessert. That butterscotch pudding is utter perfection.
We can’t wait to return next year during our annual trip through Sonoma.
