TALA CATS
Refuge founded in 2011 by a British couple in Tala, home to over 800 cats. Free visits and donations welcome.
This cat shelter was founded in 2011 by two British residents Dawn and Mark Foote. Intended to accommodate around 500 cats, it is now home to over 800: many animals have been abandoned since the 2020 pandemic. The felines are fed, cared for and vaccinated here. And many of them love to cuddle! But don't forget to make a donation. Maintaining this army of tomcats is expensive for the volunteers who work here. And there's no shortage of work to be done: Cyprus has the highest concentration of cats in the world.
