CYPRUS COLLEGE OF ART
This private art school is well worth a visit for its décor, which evokes the Palais idéal of facteur Cheval. Classes, temporary exhibitions..
This private art school is well worth a visit for its astonishing decor of recycled materials, with a bric-a-brac of statues and mosaics reminiscent of Le facteur Cheval's Palais idéal. Founded in 1969 by Cypriot artist Stass Paraskos (1933-2014), this structure with its very hippy philosophy was originally located in Famagusta. After the Turkish invasion of 1974, it took up residence here in Lempa. The school offers diploma courses, organizes exhibitions and rents studios for artists.
