AGIA EKATERINI PHYTEFKIA CHURCH
Beautiful Franco-Byzantine church. It retains four domes and fragments of the original frescoes.
This beautiful 15th-century Greek Orthodox church (Ιερός Ναός Αγίας Αγία Αικατερίνης Φυτεύκια/Ieros Naos Agias Aikaterinis Fytefkia) is located near the B 7 national road between Paphos and Polis. In Franco-Byzantine style, it was erected by monks from Sinai with seven domes. Damaged by an earthquake in 1953, it retains its three-aisled structure, topped by the main dome and preceded by a three-domed gallery containing fragments of frescoes.
