MARION-ARSINOÉ EXCAVATION SITE
This archaeological site is not open to visitors. But you can see the ruins of the cities of Marion and Arsinoe.
This 2-hectare archaeological site (Χώρο Ανασκαφής Μάριον-Αρσινόης/Choro Anaskafis Marion-Arsinoïs, Marion-Arsinoe Excavation Site) is located opposite the Polis hospital. Placed under the responsibility of the American University of Princeton, it is not set up for visits. However, you can see the remains of the cities of Marion and Arsinoe: archaic temples and "palaces", Hellenistic dwellings and military buildings and, 200 m to the south-west, Palaeochristian basilicas.
