FONTANA AMOROSA
Beautiful, wild cove 400 m long. You can swim here on a small sandy strip, 6 km from Les Bains d'Aphrodite.
This superb 400 m-long wild cove (Φοντάνα Αμορόζα) owes its Italian name of "fountain of love" to the Renaissance writer Ludovico Ariosto, who associated the place with the Baths of Aphrodite (without ever having been to Cyprus) in his epic poem Orlando furioso (1512). You can bathe on a sandy strip 5 m wide. The site is especially popular with divers, who come here and to the beautiful (but rocky) nearby bay of Blue Lagoon. Excursion boats depart from Latsi every day in summer.
