Myself and my partner stayed here at the end of March/early April. The location is fantastic, as you are within walking distance of all the main attractions including the Spanish Steps, Trevvi Fountain, the Colosseum and the Vatican.
Gerald was amazing! So knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for him. This stay was to celebrate my birthday and our engagement and when Gerald found out he surprised us with a bottle of Prosecco in our room! He always greeted us with a smile and lots of espressos!
The airport transfers, which were organised through the hotel were well worth booking too!
An absolutely fantastic holiday!!!!!
Will stay here again
My 4 kids and I arrived at the hotel - it's bit of a non-traditional hallway entrance. We checked in with Gerald who could not be a nicer - more precessional person. At some point a thief came in and stole my sons backpack which had about $3,000 worth of electronics. We figured this out after realizing the backpack was not delivered to our room with the rest of the luggage.
Gerald felt terrible, the owner Carlotta reached out to me expressing her concern, it was a tough situation. However, Gerald met us to go the police station to file a report (we were surprised to find this type of thing happens about 10x a day) and we were assured they would make things right. I was skeptical but hopeful.
Bottom line is we returned to the states a couple weeks later, replaced the contents of the backpack, I sent Carlotta a list of the replacement items and cost and my banking info - it came in at about $2,700. A few days later Carlotta's husband had wired us the funds. Unbelievable!!!
Even if you do not have a story like ours you will be so happy you stayed at this hotel - it's fantastic - truly! 1st class place and 1st class people. You just do not find this combination easily today. We will be back and hope you give them a try - you won't regret it!
