A vast palace with a beautiful facade, on one of the most beautiful squares in the city centre. Bernini Bristol is the benchmark for luxury hotels in Rome. Inside, it has all the standing of a very large 5-star house, both in terms of reception and the facilities on offer. The 127 rooms and suites have a contemporary and refined decoration, with a touch of baroque reminiscent of Bernini. The hotel's rooftop offers a splendid view, there is an elegant gourmet restaurant. A spa is also located inside the hotel.

Upon checkout we went to an event out of the city. On arrival at the new hotel, we realised we had stupidly left both our phone chargers plugged into the wall next to the bed in the room at the Sina Bernini. We called and eventually got through (after a long time of trying!) We explained where we’d left them and that we were returning to the city in the morning to collect them. We were assured they’d be waiting for us at the front desk “if they had been found”.
I’m sure by now you know where this is going - apparently “they weren’t there”. Which roughly translates to any language as “our cleaners have decided to pocket them”.
Not what you expect from a 5 star hotel.
Yes it was our silly fault for leaving them, but phone chargers?! Really?!?
So no, we won’t be returning and we don’t recommend. We stayed elsewhere for our next two nights and what a choice that was! No rooftop restaurant, but fabulous individually styled rooms, bigger, fluffier towels and robes and a homely feel. All things the Sina Bernini Bristol could benefit from.
Our room had NO air all week. Thankfully I booked a balcony room so we ended up sleeping with our balcony doors open every night to get some cool air. The bathroom left a lot to desire. The shower knobs were falling out of the wall and there was mold all over the windows in the bathroom. I’m assuming our room was next to a service room because literally every morning and every night leaving and returning to the room we had the staff cleaning carts right outside our door. I stay in a Marriott every week and had really high hopes for this place on our anniversary trip but sadly this property was a major let down.
Service is clearly lacking in this hotel. For a rate above $300 per night, you’d expect these basic things to be working.
Breakfast was ok, the buffet was varied but nothing outstanding.
The room was ok, clean and modern. The bathroom was simple, a few mold spots in the shower.
This is my second stay at a Sina hotel (last one was in Milano). I may skip this chain next time I’m in Italy, as I continue to be disappointed.
