Beautiful spot with lots of wildlife

We love this little park. The tent sites are the perfect size, and there are clean restrooms with a shower. You will see gators!

Stayed for one night , late March 2024. I stayed on the north side where trees were , so I could get some shade. Temperature during the windy day was mid 80s but cooled down at night for comfortable sleep. My site was grass and even though it rained heavily the week before the mosquito level was very low .The site was not full and the noise level from other campers was very, very low. There was not much privacy. The lake level was very high and alligators were seen . The water level was also high in the woods where I stayed. Morning glory flowers were in bloom when I walked around the lake. LOTS of other wild life,, birds, fish and so on. Nearest big chain supermarket, Publix , is about 40 mins west on US 41 , located in South side of highway. Google wanted to take me to north side . Ugh! It is nice to have beautiful views out of your vehicles windows. Peaceful and quiet since the campsite is located far from the main highway,

I love this Campground. The sites on the far side are very spread out with beautiful views of the lake. Very quiet! Only complaint I have is the traffic around the loop. The week we stayed it seemed like people would come in and just drive around the loop. If in a taller camper watch out for tree limbs around the water fill up station. We asked them to trim so hopefully they will. Bathroom has one shower but it was always so clean.

Took the family. It was really nice

This was a very nice campground. All of the sites surround and face the lake. There are plenty of alligator, fish, and birds to see and hear. Nice place to star gaze as there are no cities near by. Nice place to stay when visiting the Big Cypress National Preserve.

We had site 38. Chris the camp host was really friendly and informative. We sat in the grass next to the lake and watched alligators for the afternoon.

Well maintained and staffed seasonal campground. It is all dry camping . Dump station and water fill is up at Midway campground about 9 miles away.

What a great spot, very secluded. Water is available but no electricity or sewer dump.

Generator noise starts before 8am and goes to 10pm. This is a beautiful park that everyone should enjoy. We just came from Long Pine and their generator times are 8-8 which would be better.

If you have considerate neighbors you will love this campground and the nice host. ❤️

No frills campground. Not much to do at the campground itself, instead drive a few miles to hiking trails, boat trips, visitor's center and other activities. Great cell service with tower right there. Watch lake for gators and be very careful if walking around at night. Bring bug spray! Lots of generators running.

great stopover, quiet, clean, easy access

Showers and cell service. Excellent host names Chris and a clean site. There’s dumping and filling locations as well. No power pedestals for larger RV’s.

Staying at a tent site with a Class B RV with no issues with the ground being wet. Gators inhabit the pond and usually bask/swim. As the host mentioned, this is probably the best spot in between Naples and Miami. I would definitely stay here again and stay longer.

This is a magnificent place but be aware that you might have these noisy gazoline generators running and if you have them on both sides…. What a nightmare ! I think it is about time that all these park’s or reserve’s campgrounds enter in the new era : no polluting and low noise solar generators only aloud !!! After all, they do have a conservation duty, don’t they ???
Otherwise, I would give 5 stars.

It's a great campground over all!! Wish they had just 1 more shower as the other campgrounds in the area areas allowed to use this one and there is only 1 to share and their website updated with the rules and regulations or that when you check in they review those with you at that time...

All around great place to camp. The camp is very clean and well ordered. There is a campground host in site and the restrooms are large and clean. There is some road noise but it is easily mitigated by your site selection. Each RV site has a flat gravel pad, picnic table and fire pit. The cell reception is excellent.

This is a fantastic little campground if you're looking to get away from it all. It's not super busy like the Midway so there's a lot more privacy. The lake is bigger so you can walk around it a couple times and feel like you've actually exercised and the folks that are working here do a great job.
