MANOIR CA' D'ZAN
A historic home that offers a faithful glimpse of life during the Roaring Twenties in Sarasota.
Ca' D'Zan, "John's house" in Venetian slang, was the Ringling's winter residence. It is one of the largest and most sumptuous mansions in America. Fascinated by the Gothic palaces she had seen in Venice, Mable Ringling asked her architect to copy the exterior and interior design, which Mable mixed with the styles of other eras. The huge, tiled terrace, lined with a columned balcony, stretches out over Sarasota Bay. This historic home offers a faithful glimpse of life during the Roaring Twenties.
