CIRCUS MUSEUM
Museum retracing the fabulous saga of the modern circus and its idols in Sarasota.
John Ringling, the circus king born in poverty, made his fortune with his brothers by creating the attraction of the same name. He united the circus and the city of Sarasota forever by moving the winter quarters of this impressive entertainment to Sarasota. Founded in 1948, this museum traces the fabulous epic of the modern circus and its idols through the carved and painted traveling wagons. The highlight of the show is the man cannon; you have to see it to believe it! The Tibbals Learning Center exhibits the world's largest miniature circus under a big top.
