OPEN AIR POST OFFICE
Open-air Mediterranean-style post office, registered as a historic site, hosting a small exhibition
As you stroll through Downtown, you'll likely notice this stunning Mediterranean-style building with its majestic arches, marble columns and numerous numbered lockers. This is the National First Open Air Post Office, an open air post office built in 1916 and listed as a historic site. In 1969, part of the building was partitioned off to create counters, which are still in operation. Feel free to enter: a small exhibit at the end of the hall displays objects and mail found in the outside mailboxes.
