I am also a spa member. The facilities are always being improved upon and management has listened to my input and suggestions. The free spa mineral water and coffee (in locker room) make my day.
The Safety Harbor Resort is massive with a lot of moving parts and sections to enjoy. The resort food at the Fountain Grille is plentiful, reasonable and good quality.
At times (weekends) the resort can be busy. I try to go early in the day to enjoy the amenities on weekends.
In addition, the bay view and walking paths behind the resort add another layer of beauty.
Last but not least, the staff and management work to please the customer.
Check Safety Harbor Resort and Spa out!
First of all, loved the show - everyone danced all night. When we bought our tickets it was NOT disclosed that it was an outside event. Most of us were not dressed properly for the cold - which could have ruined the night (people were wearing beach towels over their dresses)
The Event was poorly organized from checking in, wrist bands and seating . Food was scanty - definitely not enough.
Cost of this show was $ 116.00 US.per ticket.Drinks were extra at e.g. $10.00 for 5 oz basic wine. We all expected a much better buffet and Costco-like dessert.
Employees ran around not knowing what to do.Very unorganized from the beginning.
Smarten up Safety Harbor Spa!
I repeat … The Band was Superb!!!!!
The salon and spa services are phenomenal - Five stars all the way! The therapists and salon staff are simply amazing and in my opinion, the only reason to visit Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. The spa facilities are wonderful and well taken care of.
That being said, there is so much room for improvement in the other areas. Specifically the resort hotel and restaurant.
The rest of the resort needs some serious renovations. Parking is a nightmare and although there is a lot for resort guests, no consideration is given to spa patrons. I end up paying for valet, who doesn't even accept credit or debit - cash only!!!
Front desk and phone staff are not the friendliest. But whatever, you don't have to interact with them very long.
The Fountain Grille restaurant...so much potential but very very underwhelming. The dining table was extremely wobbly, chairs sit too high for the tables. The service was not friendly nor even very helpful; I felt like a bother to wait staff. The food - just yuck......I don't know what goes on in the kitchen but I wasn't impressed. The menu is lacking but the quality of food was even worse. I sincerely wonder if the food is precooked or frozen and then reheated. We have tried dinner three times, lunch three times, and breakfast once (wouldn't even consider giving breakfast a second or third chance). Different menu selections chosen each time and my opinion remains the same - poor service and food quality. Next time I will forego the restaurant and visit one of the many nearby restaurants. Which is a shame because it's a pretty restaurant and very convenient right on site. But honestly I would rather go hungry than to ever give the restaurant another chance.
If you’re looking for a spa that actually follows up and provides a real service for the high price you pay, I recommend looking elsewhere. I will not be returning after this experience. Very disappointing.
Also, their facilities always seem to be in disrepair and unavailable, as the steam room was broken a few months ago and this visit it was broken as well. There were other things not functioning like vending machines, etc; they clearly need more staff for the facility.
