Aquarium used as a backdrop for scenes in the film, with a wide variety of fish, turtles and marine mammals
The aquarium, which is more of a rehabilitation center for injured animals than anything else, houses a huge variety of fish, turtles and marine mammals. It was the home of the dolphin Winter, star of The Amazing Story of Winter the Dolphin (2011). Most of the scenes from the movie were shot in the aquarium. Unfortunately, Winter passed away in 2021. Shows with the rehabilitated dolphins also take place throughout the day.
