Boutique hotel ideal for exploring Tampa, the first hotel in historic Ybor City.

This all-level boutique hotel is the perfect home base for exploring Tampa. Located in the historic Ybor City neighborhood - its first hotel! -it's only a few minutes' walk from Downtown Tampa. Local craftsmanship and nods to the neighborhood are scattered throughout the rooms, which are both modern and warm. Enjoy a dip in the quiet, relaxing pool, sip Cuban coffee at Cafe Quiquiriqui or sample internationally inspired specialties at the beautiful Flor Fina restaurant.

Beautiful ???? environment Elegantly designed interior, located within Historic Ybor the heart of Tampa. Great place for dining, meeting up with friends, great for your family visiting during the holidays or anytime. Good location for visitors of Tampa, with charming trolly transport within walking distance. Cafe opens at 7am good place for early coffee meeting ♥️

When I enter a hotel my first impressions that stand out with me are the interactions with the staff. Valet greeted us with a smile and were very helpful. Front desk, not so much. There were 2 young ladies at the front desk that looked miserable. There was no one in the lobby and they were fixated on their laptops. One clerk was wearing an oversized t-shirt and did not look up once during our entire check in. There was barely any interaction other than when I asked a question. Not a good start and not very welcoming especially for a >$200 per night hotel. Lobby is modern, clean and opens up into very nice area that includes 2 restaurants. We had a couple appetizers from the main restaurant that were tasty. The room was clean and looked appealing but was small and had several inconveniences such as no coffee maker, no chair to sit at the desk, no ice machine on floor and only 2 bath towels which is just annoying. When I asked for more towels from a lady from housekeeping in the hallway she said "no speak no english", jeez. They have these artsy lights with long arms throughout the room that took us a bit to figure out were the tiny switches were hidden on these arms. The aesthetically pleasing shower was all glass and half open so water splashes outside of the shower. You feel cold taking a warm shower. Hotel Haya is a decent Hotel in the middle of not the best part of Ybor City. We initially considered staying another night but with so many options in and around the area we quickly moved on....

Awful experience especially for the price. First off you have to pay for valet parking and it is not cheap. Front desk staff was nice and courteous -no problems there. Then the room looks super cheap, I’m sure they will say it’s part of the charm and style but make no mistake- putting some cheap velvet furniture in a room does not make it charming- there are literal holes in the walls and ceiling. It is also a very small room. You need special directions to close the balcony door and turn on the lights. No shower door, bathroom door doesn’t close, bent curtain rods, tile floors. The bed
is low and very uncomfortable. Pictures online are deceiving, the lobby and restaurant look amazing but the rooms look like trash. Lastly be ready for loud noise all night long. Probably a great place to party but not if you are looking for comfort and sleep, look elsewhere.
