BUSCH GARDENS
Zoo and amusement park on the theme of Africa with a little expensive pass to go around on a small train
Busch Gardens is Tampa Bay's premier tourist destination, with an African-themed zoo and amusement park to delight young and old alike. Start the day with a mini-safari to discover more than 200 species of animals in an African-themed setting. It's amazing to see giraffes and rhinoceroses as if you were on a safari in the middle of the Kruger Park in South Africa, except that you are in Florida, a thirty-minute drive from Tampa... But it is successful and almost authentic! And especially, the animals have a lot of space, it does not really zoo. Then, enjoy yourself: roller coaster, rides, meetings with the animals... For thrill seekers, don't miss the park's thrill ride, the "Iron Gwazi" roller coaster, which is the highest hybrid coaster in North America and the fastest in the world. But the Cobra's Curse, the Tigris, the Kumba and the Cheetah Hunt are not bad either in the category of roller-coasters that make your hair stand on end. For those who want calmer rides, there are also some, rest assured, and we recommend the Serengeti Express, a small train that goes around the park and allows you to observe the different animals and attractions. Various shows are offered throughout the day and there are many options to eat on site. The day pass is a bit expensive but it allows you to visit most of the attractions.
