Establishment of 243 comfortable and functional rooms in the heart of the city centre of Tallahassee. Rather a clientele of businessmen.

We were in town for a funeral and the location was very convenient to the church. We could’ve walked to it if we had to do so.

Big pros are going to be the view and location. Guest services was also very helpful with recommendations.

The rooms themselves were ok. Upstairs had a very musty smell.

My recent stay at the DoubleTree Tallahassee was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Unfortunately, it was also my wedding weekend and I had invited all of our out-of-town guests to stay with us in a room block, so they all got to share in this awful experience with us. I left our stay feeling incredibly embarrassed in our choice of hotel. Our wedding was beautiful and everything we dreamed of, but if there was one thing we would do differently, it's this. I'm not sure if this is a side-effect of being horribly understaffed/inexperienced, but as the bride, I was never congratulated nor even acknowledged during my stay. I wasn't expecting special treatment or anything luxurious. Just a warm greeting would've sufficed. Instead I was ignored at the front desk for 15 minutes while waiting for simple parking instructions (with no one in front of me). The instructions I was eventually given were contradictory and confusing. I shrugged it off in the moment because I had so many other things going on, and figured this was just a struggling college student still in training, but I had SEVERAL other guests come up to me later and tell me that the staff was incompetent, and that they were made to wait for long periods of time at the front desk without there being any sort of line. The best part is that the hotel key cards would randomly not work or in some cases would open doors of rooms that did not even belong to them. The hotel managed to mix up my brother and sister's rooms so that my sister's key opened my brother's door, but my brother was inexplicably unable to open his own room. He had to visit the front desk on 3 separate occasions in order to get it fixed. I would later learn that they had CHARGED him for his room AND my sister's room by accident on top of the already awkward inconvenience. We had several other guests come up to us complaining of issues with spotty Wi-Fi and broken hotel keys. Our "honeymoon suite" was cold & empty with fluorescent lighting and a broken mini-fridge door. There was a comically large sitting area, but a bathroom so small you could barely turn around in it. We weren't given a single bottle of water for our "honeymoon suite," much less a cookie. When I tell you that we spent over $800 for this 2-night "experience" it makes me want to cry. Without a doubt, it was the biggest wasted expense of our entire wedding. Getting an event manager to respond to us in order to set up our room blocks was a nightmare in itself. I had to call several different times in order to get a hold of a live person after being ghosted by the coordinator for weeks. That should've been the red flag I needed to stay away. I know Tallahassee doesn't have a wide variety of great hotel options, and it's a shame because the rooftop bar, Eve on Adams, is lovely, but do yourself a favor and book a room somewhere else.

The 21ish year old Asian girl sitting behind the front desk during the midnight late night shift, is extremely racist! She uses her phone to provoke guest, than she video tapes them for zero reason as they are walking away and minding their own business! Very much Extremely disgusting customer service at this run down hotel!

The 2nd dirtiest hotel I ever stayed at. I won't list the first one because I don't want to get anyone mad at me, but it wasn't a hotel 16. This room was gross. Food and other things were found under the dresser and nightstand. I can tell that nobody took time to clean this room. I reported the issue to the front desk clerk, she was very concerned and forwarded the information with photos to the housekeeping manager, and I left for the day. I figured when I got back, they would have taken the room apart to clean. I was gone for 10 hours. Not much changed when I returned. So what happens now? This post, and I will never stay at the Hilton Double Tree in Tallahassee again.
