Hotel that exudes serenity, with a freshwater pool, whirlpool facing the bay, huge terrace overlooking the ocean

Located on a quiet side street, this hotel exudes serenity. Built in the 1950s, it has earned its stripes with numerous amenities, including a freshwater pool, a whirlpool facing the bay, and a huge terrace overlooking the ocean for breakfast. At night, the path to the pool is lit up with a thousand candles. You can also dive, kayak or explore the area by bike. Yoga classes are offered every Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday morning. A great way to start the day.

Terrible experience - especially for the price. Our flight was delayed, so we got to the hotel at 8:30pm. Everything was dark - we couldn’t locate reception, so after wandering around the property we located a service door and started banging on it. Finally someone arrived - they said the office closed at 8pm, and that someone should have called us and left a message regarding the keys. They hadn’t. Our room - The Jungle Room - left much to be desired. The bathroom faucet was broken and remained cold after 20 minutes of running it. We couldn’t use the tub as it was stained brown on the bottom. The screen above the toilet was filthy and disgusting. We’d been told the rate included complimentary breakfast - we at 7:40am at where we assumed the breakfast would be served …we learned at checkout that it was on the 2nd floor of another building, but we hadn’t been told that, so we ended up eating elsewhere. Awful hotel experience - DO NOT BOOK HERE!

From the warm and kind staff at every single level to the gorgeous views, this place is a true getaway. I stayed in a ground floor suite, which was so spacious, and the shower ???? There are many stores and restaurants close, plus a Publix literally 2 mins away, bikes and kayaks to use, and that sunset ???? ???? Add in the fact that it's dog-friendly and I've never been happier.

I can't wait to come back and see Morada the office cat, and everyone else, again soon. Thank you so much for a great stay!

This is a little resort with charm and suites overlooking the water and its pool area. The pool area is very nice with a bar and lounge chairs for hanging out during the day and at sunset. Also a nice area for their continental breakfast in the morning. I'm not rating this higher since we had an issue with repairs on the roof of our suite which we were not informed about upon check-in. They should be more proactive about working with customers when they know they have essential repairs going on during a guest's stay. There was also construction next door out of their control, but still it was difficult to stay there during the day and enjoy everything they had to offer. Apparently, we did receive a discount for our trouble, but it was never clear what the rate was going to be in the first place as I was quoted one thing on the phone and never got prices along with my confirmation email. So, double-check pricing and the status of the resort before you go. I do think their standard rates are a bit high. Yes, the views are nice, but it is an older building that is trying to be kept up. For similar money, you could stay at the Cheeca Lodge... maybe not with a view, but a much nicer lodge.
