Address with modern and bright rooms that breathe serenity, offering many activities for children
One of the last addresses in Key West, a small tropical paradise with a lagoon-like pool. The bright, modern rooms exude serenity. You can take part in a rum tasting (every Thursday), enjoy smoothies and cocktails at the poolside bar or bite into a warm cookie in the lobby before going for a bike ride. Many activities are designed for children. And a kid-friendly resort is not so common in Key West!

We checked in around 6 and went out for dinner. Came up to the room later and realized they didn’t have any sheets on the pull out bed nor were there any in the room, even through I booked the room for 3 people and the room has just one king bed and one pull out. I called downstairs multiple times and no one answered. Ended up having to go down and the lady at the front desk rolled her eyes and handed me a stack of sheets…. Like sorry, for over 3k you’d think they’d make the dang bed. Did not give me a comforter or blanket for the second bed so the kiddo was cold. Room service didn’t show up one day so I had to call just for fresh towels, and then on night 2 our A/C went out. We didn’t realize until the next afternoon (room kept getting hotter) and when I called, again, no one picked up. Took 4 tries just to get front desk to answer and they did not care at all…. Just a “oh…well, we don’t have maintenance on duty right now”. I wouldn’t have changed rooms or anything if they offered right now as the kids already fell asleep but at least pretend to care. Luckily it’s colder outside than it is in our room (currently 75 and rising, plus super humid) so I have the windows open the tiny bit that they will open.
Majorly disappointing. We will still have a fun vacation but I won’t recommend this resort…. So many other options.
Edited to add: last 2 days were a bit better- maybe because they were gearing up for the weekend. I recommend getting up with the sun and having coffee on the beach while shell hunting - go as soon as the dawn comes before the beach comber machine scoops away all the seaweed and you’ll see some cool stuff! Might give this resort a second chance for proximity to the beach alone…this is the nicest beach on the island.
