Motel and youth hostel being one of the cheapest addresses in the city and offering comfortable double rooms
Five minutes from Duval Street on a quiet residential street, this motel/hostel is one of the cheapest places to stay in the city. You can sleep in simple but clean 10-bed dormitories (one mixed, one female and one male). Double rooms offer more comfort. Lockers for personal belongings (bring your own padlock) and bicycle rental. An address to keep in case you need last minute accommodation.

If you’re paying $99 for a shared bed in a coed hostel, don’t expect an awful lot of privacy. The living space is small, curtains on each bed don’t provide full coverage. As stated in the other comments there is one bathroom connecting the two coed dorms, for 10 beds. Lucky for us when we checked in a 6:30pm, on a Friday, there were only 2 other’s in the coed dorms, so 4 out of 10 beds were used at that point - not terrible to share the bathroom didn’t real notice it heavily used and it was clean. We did have a couple check in at about 10pm when we were going to bed, but they were courteous and conscious of the noise. A/C ran cold, but in the summer months I imagine this place is toasty.
I’d book here again but in the private rooms for a bit more money, other then that this place is the best bang for your buck on a quick overnighter that your not trying to spend a lot.
Also when we tried checking in, the guy behind the counter (not Peter) told us they didn’t have availability, I originally asked for the private, 2 bed room which up until an hour or two till we checked in was available. The manager made it seem like they didn’t have anything, at all, didn’t offer us the single beds.. we walked back to our motorcycles defeated trying to figure out what we were going to do, but before leaving I checked on the website and they still had single occupancy beds in shared dorms available - I awkwardly booked right then online and walked back to the check in window and checked into a hotel we’d been told 5 minutes prior was fully booked. Maybe it was a miscommunication but he could’ve offered those beds. For what it’s worth there were plenty of others that didn’t get used that night..
The coffee in the morning was welcome and the kitchen area was well stocked. Oops, we forgot our drinks when we left. Cheers to whomever finds them.
Maintenance seems to live with a paintbrush in his had as every surface was sparkling white.
