Hotel Ocidental, a family-run place offering spacious rooms and bathrooms in Santa Cruz.
A pleasant location in front of the sea and Corvo. All the comforts you could wish for (cable TV), with trips to the sea for whale watching, diving center and excursions to Corvo. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. It's not the greatest luxury, but it's still decent. It must be said that the whole place is a bit old and that everything could use a good refreshment. The place is family oriented and the staff is quite charming. The bar of the hotel is very lively in the evening on weekends until 4am.

Sehr einfaches, altes Hotel. Das Personal war sehr nett und bemüht. Für eine Nacht nach Flugausfall ok, für einen Urlaub würde ich abraten hier zu buchen. Es ist alles stark abgwohnt, die Matratzen sind durchleglegen, den Zimmern würde ein Anstrich gut tun. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig, ich hatte kleine Käfer unter der Matratze, nach einer Recherche haben sie sich als Staubläuse ausgestellt, puh, keine Bettwanzen ???? Die Wände bräuchten einen Anstrich, es gibt Lichtschalter bei denen die Funktion unklar ist.
Pro: Die Zimmer sind recht groß und geräumig. Es gibt eine Bar, das Bier kostet 1,50€/0,25l, man kann sich das Ganze also schönsaufen.
