Hotel Ocidental, a family-run place offering spacious rooms and bathrooms in Santa Cruz.
A pleasant location in front of the sea and Corvo. All the comforts you could wish for (cable TV), with trips to the sea for whale watching, diving center and excursions to Corvo. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. It's not the greatest luxury, but it's still decent. It must be said that the whole place is a bit old and that everything could use a good refreshment. The place is family oriented and the staff is quite charming. The bar of the hotel is very lively in the evening on weekends until 4am.

Excelente a presença do Hotel Café no local que permite jantar e prolongar pela noite dentro sem ter que sair de carro..
Wir hatten für zwei Tage gebucht. Als wir unser Auto am Flughafen abgegeben hatten und einchecken wollten, sagte man uns, daß der Flug wegen stakem Wind ausfällt. Nun suchten 80 gestrandete Passagiere nach einer Unterkunft. Bald war klar, die Insel ist so gut wie ausgebucht.
Zurück im Ocidental sagte die Receptionistin, sie seien ausgebucht, sie müsse prüfen. Nach fast zwei Stunden kam sie dann mit einem Zimmerschlüssel. Wir waren gerettet.
Der Flug am nächsten Nachmittag fiel ebenfalls aus. Die Receptionistin hatte unser Zimmer vorsichtshalber frei gehalten.
Vielen Dank noch einmal für diesen tollen Einsatz.
