This railway line, reopened in 2017, is managed by the Kenya Railways Corporation and serves around ten stations from Nairobi to Mombasa. You'll reach the Indian Ocean in 5 to 6 hours, from as little as 1,000 KSH. In addition to comfort and safety, you'll also enjoy a crossing of the Tsavo, where, if you're lucky, you'll see elephants, zebras and giraffes. The line is due to be extended westwards in the next few years, to reach Kisumu and even neighbouring Uganda.
