KBS is THE urban transport company. However, in Nairobi, we do not necessarily recommend it, as the big buses are always crowded, sometimes in a bad state, random and do not allow you to orientate yourself. The "matatus" remain the most popular means of transport in the capital and in the big cities. These intrepid minibus lines or collective taxis are convenient and inexpensive. They are faster and more numerous than buses. But it is difficult for a foreigner to find his way around, as there is no indication of the route served.
