We recently had the pleasure of experiencing an unforgettable 10-day safari tour with Right Choice Safari through Kenya and Tanzania, followed by a blissful week of relaxation on the beaches of Zanzibar. The tour was organized by Right Choice Safari and guided by the exceptional duo of Opany and Hassani. From the captivating landscapes of Lake Nakuru to the iconic Massai Mara and Serengeti as well as Ngorongoro Crater, each day exceeded our expectations!
Opany, our guide in Kenya, not only showcased outstanding driving skills navigating through the diverse landscapes but also added a delightful touch of humor to the entire journey. His deep knowledge of the wildlife and the terrain made the safari both educational and entertaining.
In Tanzania, we were guided by Hassani. His kindness and genuine interest in the smaller creatures, particularly all kind of birds, added a unique dimension to the safari experience. His ability to spot and identify the often-overlooked wonders of nature made each game drive a true adventure.
After ten days of thrilling exploration, the week in Zanzibar allowed us to unwind, reflecting on the breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
George Oketch of Right choice Safari helped us with the planning of the trip, booking of accomodations and seamless operations ensured a smooth transition from Kenya to Tanzania.
If you're looking for a safari experience of a lifetime through the heart of Africa followed by a week of tranquil beach days, Right Choice Safari is indeed the right choice.

I cannot recommend enough Right Choice for your safari, specifically with JACOB!
We saw the big five and more before the first 24 hours was over. He passed on a wealth of knowledge about game, about culture, language, etc. every moment we shared. Any request we made - he delivered. He is flexible and happy to cater to your specific interests and desires and clearly takes pride in his work and his culture.
It became a running joke in our group that wherever Jacob went, the other safari guides would follow. He knows the land and the animals well, and although we were often the first ones on the scene to spot big game, he always shared his finds with the remaining safari guides after we got our "perfect shots".
I can't emphasize enough how satisfied and comfortable we were.
By the end of the trip, he was more of a friend than a guide, and we were sad to say goodbye. But, we will keep in touch with him and his beautiful family (who we fortunately got to meet later on in our trip) for life!

I actually did 2 Safaris with this company, which I pre-booked from London. Amboseli and Elephant Orphanage. Initially everything looked fine whilst communicating from London, but, the first setback was when I witnessed the vehicles allocated for both Safaris! Most tour operators had great land cruisers and this company provided cars fit for scrapyard! You would know how well a company is doing, by the vehicles offered.
Secondly, the highlight of my tour had been the Elephant Orphanage (the second trip in Nairobi) but this experience was completely ruined by the owner George Oketch.
The Elephant Orphanage is open from 11am to 12pm only. Yet George insisted (despite several requests) that pickup will be at 10:30am, knowing fully well that it will be impossible to get there on time. Secondly he did not provide his driver with the ticket (prepaid by me) or reference, so that the driver did not have it and we were stopped at the gates. Mr George was very (in) -conveniently unreachable for 2 hrs whilst we stood there seething.
The manager of the Elephant Orphanage (American lady) informed me that George was notorious for this kind of behaviour and I should not take it out on his drivers, who often had to bear the brunt of the tourists' outrage.
Thirdly, the night before he blamed everything on the Kenyan Govt (a cunning way of avoiding responsibility) and mentioned I have to pay $43 extra, which he could have paid himself to make life easier and billed me to me, but, he didn't. It turned out that you need e-citizen and a smartphone access to pay for this. I only had cash and card- neither of which were acceptable and the driver did not have a smartphone (which he did not disclose during our conversation at pickup).
The driver had arrived at 10:15am, stopped at a gas station to fill his car, causing further delays and if course we were late. This was pointed out by the 2 security personnel at the gate of the Safari Park. The driver was only following instructions from his employer apparently.
The whole experience was gruesome and my entire day and trip was ruined because I did not get to spend the quality time with the baby elephants despite paying for it! No refund and not even an apology from George Oketch.
Later, my host insisted he provide better cars because a group of 5 of my American friends had to be dropped at the airport, the next day and he conceded. I saw a much better car was provided.
On the same day of my Nairobi tour, the allocated driver was on the phone, whilst driving on the motorway, 90% of the time. I felt extremely nervous and asked him if this was legal and he said "it was fine". I did not believe him and asked him to stop or drop me off because, I was shaken swerving in and out between huge trawlers and lorries on the motorway. Eventually he conceded but, the day was over by then.
On a positive note, Amboseli safari was great and Kibo Safari camp was excellent.
Given the company's change in behaviour when they served the group of our American friends and the other good reviews, it leads me to believe, that I was discriminated being a single woman during both safaris.
Also rest assured if things go wrong, George Oketch will NOT be available to help or assist you.
Therefore, I will not recommend them.
It's a shame that because of companies like this, Kenya gets bad reputation. Had it not been for this, it would have been a beautiful experience for me to be with the animals, my lovely host family and friends.

Compagnia consigliatissima, grazie

Me and missus went with right choice and we couldn’t be happier with then they gave us two brilliant tour guides John and Freddy they where helpful and brilliant to have a laugh with us. They always tried to please us and making sure we had the best experience out on safari brilliant company I recommend then to everyone
We have to mention also Opany - the best and most experienced guide there is, we saw big 5 and a lot more, with incredible photo opportunity. Reliable and easy going, and full of knowledge - Opany is the man.
We highly recommend this agency, and for our next trip to beautiful Africa - they will be our (right) choice again!
