MAMA OLIECH
Good local cuisine, in a small, simple and pleasant restaurant. The main attraction is the fried fish (mainly tilapia, a freshwater fish from the Great Lakes region) and all the usual accompaniments (ugali, rice, chapatis, French fries, kale). The restaurant has its own regular clientele. Renowned for years, it retains its authentic character and remains affordable. It has an indoor area and tables in an outdoor courtyard. Other locations have opened, notably on the Olympic Estate. Dishes can also be taken away.
