KAREN BLIXEN HOUSE
A house to immerse yourself in the atmosphere and charm of the colonial era for those who dreamed of reading Out of Africa
Those who dreamt ofOut of Africa(The African Farm) will visit this lovely house to immerse themselves in the atmosphere and charm of the colonial era... Karen Blixen lived in this beautiful house between 1914 and 1931. When she left, the house was converted into a school. Since then, it has been restored and decorated with originals and reproductions. Several scenes from Sydney Pollack's 1985 film, starring Robert Redford and Meryl Streep, were shot here. If you're feeling peckish, the Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens is just 500 metres away.
