Here's a museum in Kenya that really deserves a visit. A showcase for the country, it synthesizes its history and nature through a rich paleontological collection (skulls and fossilized objects, cave paintings, etc.), superb ethnographic objects (musical instruments, jewelry, fabrics, weapons, masks, paintings and photos). The animal section features some astonishing specimens, and the room devoted to Swahili culture is remarkable. Finally, a contemporary art gallery displays and sells works by local artists.

Au coeur des richesses naturelles et culturelles du Kenya

Consacrer un après-midi au National Muséum Nairobi est une belle idée pour se plonger dans les richesses cultures et naturelles du Kenya. Ce musée propose des sections qui réjouiront petits et grands selon leurs centres d'intérêt : des dioramas pour l'histoire du Kenya, des animaux et plantes naturalisés pour la faune et la flore kényane et des galeries d'Art mettant en valeur des artistes locaux connus ou en voie de reconnaissance. Le jardin a été réaménagé et il fait bon y flâner. Un petit snake park propose aussi un moment ludique.
