KIBERA
Visit to one of the largest slums in Africa, a neighborhood of nearly one million people in Nairobi
It's one of the biggest slums in Africa. As long as you have a good heart, you can wander through the labyrinth of alleyways that make up this district, home to almost a million people (according to NGOs, almost 200,000 according to the government) in a small area (4 km2) at the gateway to the capital. Don't venture out at night. It's best to be accompanied by a Kenyan, if only to avoid getting lost or finding yourself in embarrassing situations. The only thing left to do is to take the plunge and visit a shantytown...
