NAIROBI GALLERY
One of the most important personal collections in sub-Saharan Africa, housed in one of Nairobi's rare buildings
The private collection of Joseph and Sheila Murumbi, lifelong devotees of Kenyan culture and avid collectors of African art. This is one of the most important personal collections in sub-Saharan Africa, housed in one of the few and oldest buildings in Nairobi, built in 1913 (also the zero point of all measured distances in the country), and classified as a National Museum. The visit is well worth the detour, not to mention a short break in the pretty café set up within the museum.
