CRATER LAKE
Volcanic lake on the western shore of Lake Naivasha, in the middle of a luxuriant vegetation, where to discover monkeys and colobus guéréza
This site, on the western shore of Lake Naivasha, is well worth a visit and a short hike. The tiny volcanic lake, nestled at the bottom of a crater and surrounded by lush vegetation, offers a superb landscape. Away from the crowds that rush to Crescent Island, a small and pleasant trail leads around it and allows you to observe the numerous guereza colobus (Colobusguereza), herbivorous monkeys, as well as the innumerable birds. The place is peaceful and enchanting. Accessible by road, by matatu and piki-piki if you do not have your own vehicle.
