PHUKET THAI HUA MUSEUM
An interesting museum tracing the history of Phuket's Chinese community back to the days of tin mining in the century.
This interesting museum is located in a superb building of Sino-Portuguese colonial style dating from 1917. It relates the settlement of the Chinese community in Phuket at the time of the tin mines, in the 19th century. Several rooms dedicated to the glory of Chinese culture retrace this real adventure and help to better understand the mix of cultures on the island. A large section is dedicated to the architecture of the old houses of Phuket Old Town, with even a reproduction of a shophouse. Count on a good hour of visit.
