Inaugurated in 1975, the Maison de la Culture de Tizi Ouzou took the name of writer and anthropologist Mouloud Mammeri on the first anniversary of his death in February 1990. The establishment is very active, organizing various festivals, concerts, exhibitions and introductory workshops in various artistic disciplines throughout the year.
