In a superb setting (with views of Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru), Karama Lodge's restaurant serves a very good fusion continental cuisine based on fresh local produce. Possibility to eat indoors or in the garden, the decoration is stylish, the high ceilings, the designer furniture, the omnipresent vegetation. On the menu, meat, fish, but also vegetarian dishes. The aubergines with walnuts and basil and balsamic reduction as a starter are divine. Also fajitas and various sandwiches.

Das Personal war höflich und freundlich. Das Essen war ok bei geringer Auswahl und hohen Preisen. Es gibt wohl auch einen Fahrservice in die Stadt, dazu waren wir allerdings zu müde. Wir waren beim Essen die einzigen Gäste.
Es ist ziemlich hellhörig und die Feier unten im Tal haben wir die ganze Nacht durch laut gehört. Als Zwischenstopp vor unserem Flug war es ok, aber mehr Zeit müssen wir hier nicht verbringen.
What could be improved... is restaurant food choice, it could be better, same with preparation of food, e.g. cold bacon, sousage on breakfast, when we were exactly at the time agreed.
Location is good and bad :) good because of view, bad because you cannot leave outside withoit the car going up/down bumpy road. And you have muezins shouting every 5am :D and nice variety of birds after :)
